In this camp, students will learn the basics of creating their own music through a user-friendly program called SoundTrap. Students will be given prompts that help spark creativity for each song. They will then be able to create songs individually and in groups as well. Students will be able to share their music while also hearing the music others create as well. The goal is for everyone in the class to feed off of each other’s creativity and help one another become better artists. We will focus on the Pop and Electronic genres. The majority of music heard on the radio and that is considered “popular” fall into one of these two genres. No musical experience whatsoever is necessary! Whether you have an interest in music, want to try a new experience, or are looking for a fun and interesting way to spend your summer, this camp is for you!
